Underrepresented Minority (URM) Definition

The AAMC definition of "underrepresented minority (URM)" consists of:

• Blacks (African-Americans),
• Mexican Americans,
• Native Americans (e.g. American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), and
• Mainland Puerto Ricans.
