VISITING 4TH YEAR MEDICAL STUDENT CLERKSHIPS

The Chairman of Medicine and the Chair of the Diversity Council invite medical students who are members of underrepresented minority (URM) groups and who intend to pursue a career in internal medicine to apply for fourth year clerkships in the subspecialties of Internal Medicine including subinternship rotations. Once accepted, mentorship is provided by Council faculty members during the clerkship, as well as financial assistance (i.e. registration fee waiver, housing and limited assistance toward travel.) Clerkships are offered throughout the year. Applications and transcripts must be submitted 3-6 months in advance of the desired elective. NOTE: Clinical electives are only available to medical students who are attending either LCME approved schools (U.S. and Canadian medical schools) or schools with which we have a formal affiliation.
